If your system has been provided by All Tech Plus:

ZOTAC based Ubuntu systems: Check that power light is green and not red.

  • If red, system is currently switched off, press power button!
  • If green, try tapping the screen, pressing a key on the keyboard or moving the mouse - the screen may simply have gone to sleep.
  • If above does not resolve, if when the machine was 'shut down' your member of staff pressed the power button - this does not shutdown the machine but will place it in 'sleep' mode, press the power button once more. Please make staff aware that they should shut down the computer using the options from the screen (once they have exited Chromis, top right, click power symbol, then select shutdown - when machine is closed down power light will be red).
  • If above does not resolve, unplug the power cable from the socket, wait a few seconds, plug back in and power on your system.

Windows based systems: Check that power light is green and not red.

  • If red, system is currently switched off, press power button!
  • If green, try tapping the screen, pressing a key on the keyboard or moving the mouse - the screen may simply have gone to sleep.
  • If above does not resolve, try CTRL-ALT-DEL key combination to interrupt computer - if you do not get a response, press and hold power button until system turns off. Wait a few seconds and power back on.
