Web page not displaying as expect on my web site

Sometimes, it is possible that you are seeing an older version of a web page - your web browser may be keeping older versions so that when you access the site again instead of the relatively slow process of accessing your website directly and having your site generate the page, if your browser finds the page in its local store it will serve you that instead, this makes your site appear to load much more quickly.

Eventually your browser may decide that the version it has is too old and will fetch the actual page from your website. In the meantime to force a fresh load of a page you can try one or both of the following:

1. Force a hard refresh of the page, on Windows systems hold down the Shift key, Control Key and R (in that order) to force a refresh, on Mac instead of Control you'll use the option key.

2. Clear your web browsers cache - to find out how to do this on:

Google Chrome visit https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop and clear browsing data for all time (you can leave cookies alone if you wish so you don't get logged out of any websites)

       Microsoft Edge visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/learning-center/how-to-manage-and-clear-your-cache-and-cookies?form=MA13I2

       Mac Safari visit https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/clear-your-browsing-history-sfri47acf5d6/mac

The process on most browsers is fairly similar.

Once you have cleared the cache, close all your browser windows, exit the browser and restart the browser afresh, then try and load the page.

If you are still having problems, if you are the website owner, check any other cache settings your website may be using - if you're not sure on this contact your web developer.
